Project Details

Prevention is better than cure – with this as the premise the bank has designed Dhanvantari - a flagship project of the bank with an endeavour to create awareness on good health for the underprivileged communities, typically gig and domestic support (maids, drivers, security guards etc.) forming a large part of the informal economy, at their work location. With a though to create awareness and enable people to act on time and thereby reduce the expenses of a household before a bigger heath crisis strikes, essentially eroding savings of entire family or invariably bringing them in the vicious debt trap.

This project endeavours to bridge the gap in accessing preventive healthcare to identify any present or existing health issues enabling people from humble economic backgrounds a window into their health condition.

Seven critical health parameters tested through blood profile along with eye health. Spectacles are provided on a case-to-case basis on spot. The activity is followed up by sharing the blood report and a tele consultation by a doctor explaining the findings of the report enabling and nudging them to take corrective action and consult their doctor for further diagnosis if required.
