Head - Retail Assets & Collections

Kumar Ashish is the Head of Retail Assets & Collections at RBL Bank. He comes with over three decades of rich experience in the BFSI space.

In his current role, he is responsible for scaling the Retail Assets portfolio into a key pillar of sustainable growth. He will also be leading Retail Secured Collections, a strong arm of the Bank.

Ashish brings a strong track record of building and scaling secured retail lending businesses. He has led diverse portfolios including mortgage loans, vehicle finance, personal loans, business loans, rural and agri finance, SME and trade finance, digital lending, and microfinance. A seasoned leader with a sharp focus on innovation, operational efficiency, and customer-centricity, Ashish has consistently delivered results by launching new products, deploying technology-led processes, and energizing high-performance teams.

Prior to joining RBL Bank, he worked with Aditya Birla and Bandhan Bank. Ashish has also spent over 20 years at ICICI Bank setting up and managing businesses of significant scale in Retail Assets, SME lending, Rural lending, Trade Finance and Transaction Banking. He has served as a member of the RBI Committee on Financial Inclusion and on the Board of IFBI (Institute of Finance, Banking & Insurance), an NIIT subsidiary.

Ashish is an MMS graduate from Welingkar Institute of Management. He also holds an MA in Economics from Delhi University.
