Manjeev Singh Puri is on the Board of the Bank since May 21, 2021.
Manjeev is a former Indian diplomat & has served as Ambassador of India to the European Union (EU), Belgium, Luxembourg, Nepal and as Ambassador/Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN).
He joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1982 and represented India in different capacities in Indian Missions abroad including at a number of multilateral organisations. He has also served as Joint Secretary (UN- Economic & Social) and Deputy Chief of Protocol in the India's Ministry of External Affairs.
As a member of the Indian Foreign Service, he has acquired considerable experience in the areas of multilateralism and global economics, including dealing with issues of trade, finance and risk management, G-7/outreach & G-20, sustainable development & climate change. He has an in-depth understanding of economics (including International economics), finance and business management. Having led some of India's largest Embassies overseas, he is also experienced in general management and human resource management of senior personnel.
Manjeev is an MBA (Finance Specialisation) from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, University of Bombay, and did his B.A. (Honours) in Economics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi.
