Do’s

  • Always verify the authenticity of website or person before sharing any details.
  • Check sender email address for unknown domain (e.g. rbibank.com, rblbanks.com).
  • Always download all mobile application(s) of RBL Bank from the App Store or Play Store.
  • Enable multi-factor authentication on personal email accounts and social media accounts.
  • If you think you might have accidentally/ unintentionally clicked on a malicious link or attachment, Do not panic. Report/Inform to Information Security Team (infosec@rblbank.com) immediately.
  • Review your account statement frequently to check for any unauthorized transaction.
  • Take precautions while banking on your phone in public places.
  • Never save your Bank details on your mobile phone.
  • Ensure that anti-virus is regularly updated.
  • Ensure that any mobile application(s) of RBL Bank used by you are updated to the latest/ most recent version.
  • Update device software from provider (Microsoft for Windows, Google for Android, Apple for iOS).
  • Change your password if you feel that you may have unknowingly/ unintentionally shared your password.

 

Don’ts

  • Do not entertain any email/call claiming to be Bank/Bank's representative asking for PIN, password, credit card details, departmental information etc.
  • Do not use/post your work email address on public forums, e-commerce websites, rewards vouchers and blogs. It could be grabbed by hacker and used for spamming attack.
  • Do not share sensitive information like login details/OTP/Password etc.
  • Do not open the link or respond to unknown emails coming from untrusted source.
  • Do not reply to suspicious emails/SMS and report such emails/SMS to information security team.
  • Do not share your bank account number, Debit card no./ATM PIN, CVV printed on the back of your card and Internet banking password/M-PIN.
  • Avoid using public/ open WiFi, public/ open VPN/ hotspots to connect to the mobile application.
  • Do not accept files/ documents from unknown sources.
  • Do not write down login credentials, OTP or any other identifiable information on a paper.
