Sunita Maity has been with the Bank for over 5 years, let’s know more about her journey.
Q: From your first day to today - what's the one value at RBL Bank that has remained constant and continues to inspire you?
A: Respect
Q: What's your proudest achievement at the Bank, and how did the organization enable it?
A: Being a support role, the efficacy of one's position is measured in terms of timelines, process automation, output accuracy, etc. The BAU activities usually consume lot of work time, and it becomes extremely difficult to do anything outside of the daily routine. Hence, it was really fulfilling for me when I prepared a training brochure of my department for the new joiners. This was essential as it was part of the recruitment drive for the newly formed department. And it was all the more satisfying as I was the lead member in that recruitment drive. The training brochure is now considered as a reference point for new joiners, especially for technology or management trainees.
Q: Which aspects of the Bank’s culture have been most empowering in your professional journey?
A: Collaborative and inclusive work culture.
Q: How has the Bank supported your growth both as a professional and as an individual?
A: RBL Bank has not only provided me with ample opportunities where I could enrich my professional skills but has also provided a work environment where my ideas/inputs are heard, and delivery-bound efforts are acknowledged. Showing faith in my abilities during challenging times by my managers and team members has kept me motivated and confident in whatever new challenges I pursue. It helps me to improve and be a better version of myself, every day.
Q: Looking back at your journey, what would you tell other women about building a career at RBL Bank?
A: While my determination and resilience has always helped me in my life, the remarkable journey of 5 years with this Bank would not have been possible without the support of my managers and team members. An inclusive culture of this Bank has always justified our tagline “Apno Ka Bank”. If one intends to build a successful career in Banking, RBL Bank is one place where growth and empathy goes hand in hand. Employees always get the required support for building a strong career.
